There are some good parts of this job. One I really like is the annual Congressional Art Competition, open to high school students from New Mexico’s first district. This year I had the honor of awarding the Best in Show award to another talented young artist – Vivienne Clark.
Giving young people the opportunity to share their gifts and be recognized for their work is important. This is particularly true for kids who may excel in art instead of sports.... |
